"As idiosyncratic planetary busy dudes go, heavy-duty, heavily-in-demand bass player Steve Fishman may qualify as front of the class. Punks, pre-punks and post-space punks and nearly every other breed of high class noise degenerate"  Dave Cantrell

"Criminally Underrated!"  Greg Burk

"Would you mind playing bass?"  Paul McCartney

From underground dives to Live 8, Steve has worked all over the world with myriad artists, in Sir Jonathan Ross' all-star TV band (C4), with uber producers in legendary studios. A bass player's bass player / writer / artist and producer, he brings eclectic and edgy to the table in altv, punk, post-punk, no wave, trip hop, hip hop, ska, intelli-pop, artrock, funk, dance-punk, classic rock, jazz-punk, dub to dubstep, classic to neo soul, noise rock, sonic art, electronic to left-field and more retro to future flavours with musicality, experience and power... From decades of Stranglers bass with Hugh Cornwell to proto-punk, industrial, psych, noise rock w Chrome, gothabilly w Dave Vanian (Damned), punk-funk w James White (Contortions) to current up and comers FKA twigs, Black Mountain and the psych noise of Plastic Inevitable.

s

Burns Bison 1961. Aria SB1000 does filthy sweet. I prefer passive but out of 60 basses, 4 are (vintage) active. SB1000, 60s Meazzi, 77 Musicman and Magnum II (w graphic eq).

(

Meazzi Hollywood 1960s Italian beauty, innovation and design, Ist active bass ever! neck pickup is passive but the bridge pkup has a rather aggressive preamp, so active-passive and long-scale. Whats Not To Love?
